I did this one a while ago, and used that filter in CS5 where you could create your own miniature landscape. (Can't remember the name) Added the heron, the moon, and placed them in the "other-world". I used bi-color filter, Flaming Pear for the star effect, shadowhouse brushes for the birds, and some local adjustments.

I remember this one Jackie and love the surreal effect! Great composite with lots of cool, interesting elements. Glad you reposted it.

You've put together some great colors and elements in a good composition. There is a good number of primary diagonals, too, even though some may not be immediately apparent (which is probably a good thing). Did that miniature landscape filter live in the Photoshop filter collection or was it a plug-in? It looks like it is (or perhaps was???) an interesting tool.

Hi Dennis, it was part of the Droste dropdown that had a bunch of effects. As I recall you had to downwload it from the Adobe site. It was compatible with CS5, and not CS6.
