    Once a raptor is committed to feeding on it's prey, I find that I can crawl up very slowly on my belly and get a low close perspective.

    What a great image all around. The only thing perhaps would be to get the top of the rear wing a bit more in focus, but so, so small ... TFS

    Totally spectacular in every regard. Did you place the quail? Were the quail live or dead when/if placed? The mantling behavior is very cool.

    You show me how it should be done, although being 71 years old does not bode well for the crawling part. Beautiful image, thank you for sharing.

    Superb image. I love the pose of the bird with the wings been spread over the victim and that great orange eye!
