    Nice detail. With the head in the shady side, I would do some selective lightening on the face. I'd also pull the upper left corner in for a stronger comp.

    It's a fine looking shot Sanjeev,think I would take a bit off the left if you could ,that apart the bird looks very good and a super BG.

    Hi Sanjeev, Im glad you managed to get your Pied Kingfisher from Mankwe. Good look back pose, and agree moving him to the ULC will work better. I know how large the perches are, so cutting off at the bottom worked well. Gotta love those Pilanesberg BG's. I see you shot this fairly late in the morning. Getting there early really gives the best results for light.

    Stu, yes, I got there a bit late, think it was 7-7.15 am when I got there so sun was up and shining bright By the time I got shooting. Yeah, I purposely cropped the largish branch horizontally to reduce the heft of it, and Imliked the sinusoid/ wavy perch!
