Default Wild Turkey In The Rain.

It's Thanksgiving long weekend up here in Canada, so how apropos was it to find a bunch of Wild Turkeys roaming a local field recently. Here's one of the braver ones that stayed out of cover while it rained rather steadily. I, for one, was dry and comfy in my car.

Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC, manual exposure, evaluative metering, natural light, handheld from car, 1/250s., f/5.6, ISO 800, small crop for comp, and a few pieces of vegetation strategically removed.

Really nice light for a rain shower...the clover in the BG really sets this off and as usual the images you present are technically spot on.

Wonderful image Dan, the rain and the pink flowers in the FG and BG really make this image. The subject is well exposed and well placed in the frame. TFS.

Fantastic Daniel, love the whole composition, body posture/HA and the detail within the plumage. Having a relatively slow SS has capture the rain perfectly.

Looks like he may survive the this year, but perhaps will make the pot next year, enjoy TG.

She's beautiful, Daniel. The IQ is wonderful. Love how the rain brings out the richness in the clover, grasses, and a little in her feathers as well.

Well captured in relatively low light conditions. I like the clover colors picking up the colors in the head. Nice detail and comp.

Daniel you have this spot on! Falling rain and the droplets on the bird really make it.

    Cheers Keith.

Beautiful turkey... I like the setting and background. The rain only adds to the image.

Such a beauty shot, Daniel. The rain was your friend this time.
