    This was at Kambaku Lodge, Timbavati, SA. I could have stopped down more but since he was parallel I shot this with f/5.6. Hope you like it.

    These guys seemingly have such character! A bit grumpy looking. Exposure and details look perfect. With a tight portrait I definitely would have stopped down as the bill is just out of dof range (and the shoulder is way out). I would also have preferred a better head angle - just a few degrees more towards us would have done the trick. BTW, a better head angle would likely have put the bill within dof range as is. Excellent BG that sets of the the bill's colour beautifully.

    I like the fabulous detail of the head and that eye is great. I would experiment with a slight crop from the bottom and right side. Very nice image in my book!
