    mending the biggest of my three ponds in the garden today (27 holes caused by Phragmites !!!) this lady came and inspected me every few minutes. Got loads of flat onstuff in flight over the years but thought I,d try some head on stuff.
    Must admit I didn't stick at it long as I had to get the hole repair gunge on fairly quickly.
    Nikon D7000
    800 ISO
    F9
    500th second.
    Bigish crop.
    CZM for high pass filter /neat image.

    That amazing focus, great light and amazing DOF! The big crop doesn't show, to me.

    I like it - well caught, he looks almost fluorescent was it afternoon light?

    Hi John. Excellent sharpness and good DOF for a head-on shot like this! The light really brings out the colors, too! I might suggest a little selective brightening on the face as it appears to be in shadow. Also, there is a sensor dust spot to the left of your subject. Just a couple minor tweaks to make a strong image even better!
