    this Dickcissel has a better perch than previous....gets difficult out in high acreage fields.

    400mm, 1.4x, ISO 800, f/9, 1/500, +.67EV, taken at 7:16 am....strong sun just rising

    Beautiful image with a wonderful singing pose. If it had been possible to move back a bit the angle would not have been quite so steep but sometimes that isn't possible. Gorgeous Bg and well composed Wayne. Thanks for sharing.

    Hi Dave !!! What a pose for that little guy !!! He is the "Horatio" (of Miami CSI fame) of the bird world !!!!

    Only wish the light was more form your back more and fully agree with Judy !!!!

    I think the pose if perfect. Love that you can see the beautiful pattern on his back, as well as a touch of the yellow patch on his belly. THe light angle could have been better, but it's ok. I would smooth the bg, theres a darkening on the left side, mid-way down that isn't optimal.
