    Default Osprey Landing

    Attached Images Attached Images

I was hoping to get this shot on my trip to Florida last spring. I met my friend Jim Neiger on his custom pontoon boat for a few days of shooting on Lake Blue cypress.
I had heard about all the breeding Osprey on the lake but I never thought it would be as good as it was.
It was unreal with literally hundreds of birds seen in a morning of shooting. They were in almost every tree and in some cases nesting within a few feet of each other.
If you want to go on an awesome workshop I highly recommend looking up Jim.

Thanks as always for looking and for your input. I appreciate it.

Fantastic image, great looking bird with nice exposure, sharpness and details. Glad you had a productive trip with Jim in Florida! Would want to go there sometime when I visit USA again.

Amazing terrific, great action and details. the all important eye is clearly visible and pin sharp. I think some of the brightest whites are a shade overcooked, I bet the TIF file wasn't.

Hi Dave, perfect timing here, and love the swept back wing position. Your usual sharp details, and overall well exposed. Great work.

Spectacular. Great landing pose. Glad to see that your usual stunning technique works just as well in Florida as it does in CA.

Wicked pose with a superb view of the near wing's underside. I love those talons, and the perch is just right.

    Just beautiful Dave.
Great exposure on the whites and the color balance is spot on.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I appreciate it.

Johnathan, I dont see any whites blown in my JPEG or the TIFF. That's the one thing that I really liked about this frame, the exposure. Thanks for your nice comment.

That's funny that you mentioned that Arash because when I mentioned that I wanted this shot it was because of seeing your beautiful shot a few years ago.
