    Default Coppersmith Barbets

A pair of coppersmith barbets on a tree branch. These birds come to my apartment building when the trees are fruiting. The pink background is the compound wall of the neighbouring building.

    Canon 100-400L lens on a Canon 7D body, hand held. 1/400th second @ f/5.6, ISO 1600. Focal length 300mm.

RAW edited in Photoshop CS6. A bit of straightening and a small crop (15%) for composition. Contrast, black levels, +10 shadows adjustment. Noise reduction on the background, unsharp mask of 0.4 pixels & 60% strength on the birds.

What a very pleasing image!!! Love that both birds are sharp and they are both looking at the viewer. I take it the bird on the right is the male since he has the red chest patch. Your BG is quite unique. Altogether, I really like this and it's quite the unique bird as well.

I love the birds, perch, and bg! This is one beautiful image. The reds look a wee bit oversaturated and blown in places.

Beautiful frame and I love the overall scene. The techs look good and the details look great too. Cool looking birds. I agree with Jim that the reds are blown out and need to be toned down, otherwise, killer.
