Hi Sanjeev - you did well handholding the 500 and 2x. Nice to see a young croc and I like the comp, except for what's sticking up on the other side of the croc. I don't know if moving to a different position in the field would have allowed you to avoid it. Now that you've got the techs and pp down, you have to try to remember to look at what your bg is going to be. This is often so difficult to remember in the heat of an exciting sighting and sometimes there is just no avoiding leaves, twigs, grass, etc. Afterall, it is the bush
Colors and light look nice.

Rachel

Nice light and moment here Doc - good to see you visited Pilanesberg too. Did you meet Gerrie in the Mankwe hide?
The BG reeds are part and parcel of shooting from this hide and its walkway. I am guessing if you moved for the reeds the light wouldn't have been as pleasant...?
Maybe just burn the yellow OOF reed a tad?

Thanks Rachel & Morkel. Morkel, this was clicked from the walkway & yes moving would have make the lighting worse, I agree burning the one yellow blade of grass should improve this but I don't think the OOF grass detract much from the croc. I met a gentleman by name 'Kit' at the hide not Gerrie

Thanks for pointing that out Rachel! I have few other angles that I shot, will check it that doesn't show in some frames.

Hi Sanjeev, very nice croc, lovely light and had a laugh when Rachel pointed out in her RP what she was talking about. I had the same thing seen. Easy to get rid of it.
Have a nice evening

Hi Sanjeev, nice to see you taking a break from Leopards.
I like the angle, but less so the 'perch' & distracting reeds in the BKG. Perch is what it is, but loosing a few reeds (by cloning out if your ethics allow) would be good and easy to do, allowing more focus on the subject. I think/feel also coming in a bit more, primarily to lose some off the top and the encroaching rear leg would help.
