Wow, thatīs a wonderful bird and a very attractive perch! If mine I would crop a tad tigher but just a little bit.

Nice colors, bg, subject, and great perch. I agree with the idea of cropping a bit tighter.

I like the size of the subject in the frame as is, but as posted I would have moved the lens 1.5 inches lower and 1 inch more to the right. This would have balanced the lower twig better in the frame IMO. Terrific perch with really neat lichens on it. I love the way the bird is clutching the branch with the spread legs like that.

What gorgeous colors, and great detail. It would work for me to just crop from the right to cut off that part of the branch hanging down near the edge. If you wanted to preserve the aspect ratio, a little could then come off the top and bottom -- maybe more from the top.

Sharp and beautiful pose of the bird on the nice BG. Like the perch too. I agree with Daniel about frame. However the photo is wonderful! TFS.

    Cheers,

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I suspect the bird is that size in the frame because I got a little hung up about retaining the perch, I agree the bird might be a little better presented with a tad more crop.
