Gorgeous light and animalscape Morkel. Great looking impala with nice pose. Why ISO 2000 may I ask? Cheers,
Sanjeev

Light was quite muted due to the storm clouds - I was on auto ISO in manual (my normal shooting mode). Like I said above, could have gone to f5.6 or even f4 (that would have given me approximately ISO-1000 and ISO-500 with the same SS).

Gorgeous lighting and framing here Morkel, with the threatening storms really creating an epic mood, you're making my mouth water as I prepare for the Sth Luangwa 3 weeks today.
BTW, what have you set for your upper M auto ISO limit on your 800 & D3s?

Hi Morkel - Nice placement in frame and beautiful light. Nice of an impala to pose so nicely by himself for you.

Beautiful Morkel. The bright FG and threatening BG makes the pic (not that the beautiful animal is anything to scoff at)! Nice composition too!

Fantastic light with the combination of cloud and sunlight. Spot on placement of the impala to make the most of the scene
