This is captivating. It's like the drawing that can be seen as a skull or a woman looking at herself in a mirror, but I mean that in a positive way. As I look at it, the outer petals change back and forth from concave to convex, and that really holds my attention. The darker tones at the bottom ground it nicely.

Cheryl,
Greetings. (uh, Dennis kinda lost me ;-) The multi layered textures and lines are really eye-catching. The structure, curves, shades are all topped off with a perfect touch of glass. Good show!
Thanks for posting.
Cheers,

Dennis,
Ha! I thought you saw a woman looking in the mirror or a skull in the OP! :-0 Thanks for clarifying. Sometimes the songs that we hear are just songs of our own. ;-)

This is too weird . . . "Sometimes the songs that we hear are just songs of our own." struck me as very profound, so I googled it and learned that it's from the lyrics to a Grateful Dead song. Of course, I had to listen to it, and the accompanying video briefly showed a skull. I didn't have time to blink and see if it turned into a woman looking into a mirror.

Dennis, Cheryl,
I have to admit to being an old deadhead. Wake up to find that you are the eyes of the world! ;-)

This is interesting Cheryl, my eyes keep going back and forth wondering what is fg and bg. Nice touch with the texture, I think the glass is perfect. Never got into the GD

Cheryl, the image is stunning. Wonderful translucence and lines! Dennis & Michael, thanks for the entertaining conversation! I also found the quote very meaningful, but like Jackie, I didn't become a GD follower.

I see what Dennis means by the curves changing from convex to concave and back. What fun! The image has a lovely range of whites to greys. Did you consider brightening it up a bit?
