I haven't posted for quite a while. I spent most of June and July touring the western US and doing a few workshops. This was made in June just after my Idaho Birds of Prey workshop. I hope you like it. Thanks for looking.

The setting looks like something out of Tatooine (for you Star Wars fans). I like the owls pose, and the rabbits decapitated head, although morbid, tells the often ugly story of death and survival (I do wish we could see its eye better). Perhaps a few darker spots along the top edge could be removed for a cleaner finish up there, and the small dark loop under the talon too. Pretty cool overall, I like it a lot.

This is phenomenal Jim. Love the owls hide out, the prey item and the detail captured. Great work. TFS.

You had a great opportunity here but something about the image isn't quite working for me, so I fiddled with it a bit. Here's my version. I feel this version of composition showcases your owl and prey a bit better and remove some of the distracting elements yet still telling super story in a unique environment. What do you think?
