    Beautiful capture Rick of the male cardinal and nice lighting. Love the raised crown and the good eye contact and detail. The branch above the bird and the small one to the far right I would be tempted to clone out as I find my eye is drawn to them. I also very much like the extended wing in this image. Very lovely Rick and thanks for sharing.

    excellent details in the reds Rick......as Judy Lynn mentioned, a bit of clean up(if you do that sort of thing)
    and maybe a re-crop to get bird out of center would make this quite quite nice.

    Nice pose and eye contact. I agree on cloning the two branches and might even out the BG.

    I like the way the light is illuminating the bird. I agree with the above suggestions about branches and BG.
