    Default Arctic Pizza Snowy Owl

This snowy was perched on a knoll in the small plot of land in front of the pizza place ( called Artic Pizza) in Barrow. Perhaps he was waiting for take-out!!
Talk about an easy shoot! Only in Barrow...! Quite a dark, dreary day.

This is a great photo Gail. I like the lighting. White birds are so challenging. I think this lighting and your exposure is perfect for this bird. The surroundings complement the bird and allows the subject to stand out in the scene.

I rather like the the light too, Gail. The colors are beautiful and work so well with this Snowy. Like your choices in post.

Oh yes I like the owl in the environment, the plumage detail is good and those eyes make me look at his mustache! I rather like the background too.

Nice image, Gail. Pleasing colors, and the sense of time and place is well conveyed.

A great shot from a great restaurant. Knowing the service, I bet you all got a few frames in :-)

This image just screams Alaska. The setting is great for this awesome bird. I would prefer to see the bird just a bit higher in the frame, but that's just personal preference. Wonderful exposure and DOF.
