    Default Grey Heron.

    Image was created in the month of May, 2014.They had nest on the tree along the bank of lake.
    This male was repairing his nest. Had many image, however light direction was not ideal. Basic editing, cropped for composition.
    Canvas added in front of Heron and at the top. NR applied to BG.

    ISO :400, 1/1000,@5.6.Manual settings. 550D,100-400.

    Neat to be shooting down on him, a different perspective. Excellent separation from the bg, well exposed.

    Perhaps a sliver more room below and to the right.

    Seems to be angling away just a bit, but still effective.

    Nice one Satish, beautiful bird nicely shown, killer BG, pleasing composition. Thank you for sharing.

    Neat shot from above like that, maybe wish he was flying in complete profile to the viewer.

    I too, like the shooting angle. Nice to see something different. Nice diffuse light really helps with exposing the details on the heron.

    Thank you so much for the comments, Gail. The nest was too low, on the right side with lots of shady area in front area and the sun on the left. Only the time I can soot was when Heron fly from nest and that is also in sunlight or diffuse light.
    Attached is the image of the nest for you, so that we can have idea about the height of nest and flight path of herons.Vantage point was very high on the bank of lake.

    Satish I used curves - just lifted the mid point a few clicks, I did one extra round of Smart Sharpen, 60 0.1
