Like it very much Sid, only thing for me is that is too centered in the frame. Very nice and soft background.

I like the perch Sid. The bird seems a little soft, and would benefit from a tad more USM. Lighting is nice, and there is good detail in the breast. A slight head turn would be nice to let us see more of the eye. Thanks for posting!

    Hey Sid,
Like your capture. I woud off center him a bit, also would like to see a better head angle...:D

Fully agree with comments. This particular pose is not the most attractive for little birds. I don't like seeing part of one eye, much rather have only one visible. Always a slight turn will get you a better image both from aesthetic and technical point !!

This was next shot in series. Would it have been a better selection?

    Thanks for all the comments.

Generally speaking, birds faces head-on aren't that photogenic - (-: I don't mind this view but some may. I think this one is nicely composed with very nice detail. I think I would try to tone down the whites in the background on this one - the ones on each side really are blown. Overall, nice image.
