    Default Sanderling.

I spent lots of time with this cooperative individual as this was the only shorebird on the beach and I was the only person there that cold and wet morning, so you may have to endure a few more pictures of this sweet little bird Here's a standard "field guide" type picture in a nice and clean setting. I was lucky when it stopped and stood at that spot - the sand drops off towards the water beyond the "top" it is standing on.

Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/640s., f/7.1, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, FF, usual eye work, two smallish dark lumps eliminated form the sand.

Beautiful looking little bird. Very light compared to the Sanderlings I see on the west coast. What a great spot for it to be standing in as you have the perfect amount of FG and then the BG falls off into that nice slate blue. The pose, techs and details all look perfect. Nice one Daniel.

I love these little guys. This one must have been very cooperative indeed, for you to get this FF. Techs and pose are spot on. Somehow you often manage to get just that little touch of green that adds to the image.

Clean and pleasingly sharp. Love the plump little guy and that nice beach. Wouldn't change a thing.

Very nice soft light and fantastic pose. Whites looks pretty good. These birds have a nice dark beak, you even got some good details there.
