Default How to Get a Duck from a Vulture

I was at a lookout on the Palisades cliffs over the Hudson River, scanning the horizon for migrating raptors. This young Red-tailed Hawk suddenly popped out from behind a stand of trees to my near left, and harassed the Black Vulture who was taking a nap on a snag. He caught me by surprise, so this is a grab shot. Full height cropped from horizontal. I do wish I had seen him a split-second sooner, but I still liked the juxtaposition.

Hi Bill, great show of the underwings of the RTH, even though he is flying away from you. Sometimes we are surprised with something, and we have to make the most of the opportunity. Im glad you managed to show the vulture too, and Im fine that we cant see all of him.
