    Taken about this time last year at a local lake as the sun was setting. C&C welcome.

    D700, nikon 500mm + 1.4x tc, 1/1250, f 5.6, ISO 649, Gitzo tripod, Wimberley Gimbal head.

    A better head angle would have taken this over the top, and I would crop some off the right, but I love the details you got in the blacks and the silky smooth water is very appealing. Love those ripples too. Torn on the cut body, but this is a good compromise if you could not fit it all in.

    The silky water and setting sunlight make it. Daniel's comments echoed my concerns, but quite a lovely image.

    Thank you all. I had been watching several DCCO diving for fish from a low foot bridge, when this one surprised me surfacing very close. This was the best of around a 10 frame burst. Made a split second discussion under the beautiful setting sunlight and smooth water conditions.
