    Just another alternative to an earlier one posted last week in the thread Out of the Box, this is by Bence Mate's place in the forest, Hungary. Nothing special but I like this woodpecker. It always makes a lot of noise. May 2008.

    Well done, Brutus! I've never seen a woodpecker do this - or a green woodpecker either, for that matter. I like the way the water droplets are lit up against the dark background. It looks like he's really getting a good soak.

    The image works well with the super low angle and the dramatic lighting.
