I came across some images from last winter, including this female Junco taken on an overcast day after a February snowstorm. C&C appreciated.

    Bill:

The bird is sweet looking, like that it is perched up on a bit of snow.

I might try to tease out a bit more detail from the snow with Nik Detail extractor if that is available.

My screen is set for BP light, which has a white background, and the frame blends in with background. Might try a version with a thin darker frame to give a bit of separation.

    Cheers

Wonderful exposure here and perfect details in your bird. I do think that a thin dark frame would really help to showcase this image.

Beautiful winter capture of this beauty, Bill. Like all the detail, and control of the whites. The only thing I might add is to see a bit more catch light in the eye. Well done.
