    Default Mottled Owl

Yet one more owl image from my owl series. I believe I´ve never seen this bird being posted here.

    For this one

    Mark IV
    600f/4@f/4.5
    ISO320
    1/200
    Flash as main light
    Playback used to attract bird
    Full frame
This is a natural perch and not a set up, I just got lucky that the bird landed in that epiphyte laden branch.

    Thanks for looking!

Beautiful setting. Well done with the flash. You might wish to open up the face just a bit...

Terrific looking owl, set up and image, JC. Great work on the flash. Never seen this owl before but exposure looks pretty good to my eyes. The green frames your owl nicely!

Very nice work, Juan Carlos. I love the clear eyes a lot. The comp is just perfect to show the nice environment. Well done.

Great catch of this good looking owl. Flash looks good on the bird. I might be tempted to tone down the brightness on the perch.

What a handsome owl. I like the greens. Very nice flash color balance. I might attempt to get rid of the oof leaf in the upper right corner. Well done

Excellent addition to your owl series Juan!. I like the pose, perch, exposure, flash work and composition.
