    Hi all ,
what looks like a friendly courtship behavior is actually a slight aggressive behavior .
The Gentoo on RHS climbed the grass hump and tried to push the other one down , finally he was successful after several attempts , but all was made in a gentle way .
I like this because it was the only way to separate these two from the King Penguins in the BKG.

I like the interaction, DOF, composition and insight into the behavior. Interesting that you got the two Gentoo isolated in a sea of Kings. Very well done Andreas.

I love this, and I really like the oof penguin in lower left corner watching the action :-) As you say, this is neat how they are separated from the king penguins, how cool. Bummer the one to our right is stained so much, but the storytelling and sense of area is strong here and overshadows that. The falling snow adds a neat touch.

This is a very very strong image. I was so focused on the main subjects that I didn't notice the one on the bottom left.

If it were mine, I might consider looking at a version where the white above the two main subjects is either toned down a tad or cloned out.

Interesting image, story, and juxtaposition of the two species. Looks to me as if the white breasts of the two subjects could be brightened up a bit....
