This was on a morning game drive in Timbavati. I only wished the oxpecker had turned his head my way! The light was gorgeous and the giraffe gave me a clear shot of his head.

Great close-up of a giraffe munching on those thorned acacia branches! Beautiful light, great details, good view of the eye. Agree about the oxpecker. You could remove that one leafy green branch jutting out of the giraffe's head just behind the oxpecker.

Hi Sanjeev - Another nicely processed image. Beautiful morning light, good detail and the catchlight adds to the image. I too agree about the oxpecker. There's some smudging in the lower corners that I would correct if mine.

Hi Sanjeev not much you can do about the OP , that is nature playing its game.
Lovely giraffe portrait in gorgeous light , you achieved nice detail and color with your PP .Agree about removal of the leaves on top of the giraffe if that is ok with your ethics.

Hi Sanjeev, I very much like the composition and behavioural aspect of the shot, having the OxP to camera would have been the icing. Certainly the IQ is clearly visible when you compare it with the 5D, perhaps the new 7D may come with Santa? Will send you Canon's release notes just in case.

Thanks everyone. Steve I may trade in my 7D for 7D II. I was considering 6D but I am excited about the 65 point AF and 10 FPS shooting & the improved crop sensor. Do send the release notes. Cheers.
