    Default Mottled Owl

Following with my owl series. Mottled Owl (Strix virgata).
In North America is common to find owls active during the day but in tropical countries they prefer to be active at night. This is a good example of that as the image was taken around midnight.

    For this one

    Mark IV
    600f/4@f/5.6
    ISO400
    1/400sec
    Tripod
    Full frame
Audio playback used to lure this bird.
    Pupils were darkened in PS.

By mistake I set the shutter speed to fast (1/400) so this one came out a bit underexposed so I had to fix that in PS.

    Thanks for looking.

Hi Juan nice owl with good detail and lovely colors . The greenish patch on LHS is sadly kind distracting.
I have to say in general i do not like night photography , but understand your point in getting this shot
