They are almost all gone now from central Kentucky, just one or two still lingering around the potted flowers on our deck.

One word - Stunning. Love everything about it really.. If it was mine I might add some to the right of the image and reduce from the top as there is some dead space - but cracking image.

Such a difficult bird to photograph, you did well! Body and face are nice and sharp, could use a bit more dof for the bill. I think that the entire image is a bit dark. Maybe you could increase the brightness a bit without ruining the velvety richness of the image.

I like the sharpness, details and complimentary BG. They are still up here so you might have some more coming through. Nice image Joel.

I'm not sold on the square crop in this instance, but I like everything else about the image...from the pose to BG and sharpness. A bit perplexed by the small ghosting around the feet and bill, easy to clone out if wanted.

It's actually not exactly square (718 x 800) but I understand what you mean. The ghosting I think is motion blur. I suspect 1/800 sec is probably not quite fast enough with the shady ambient light that I had.

Hi joel very nice shot of the HB with a pleasing BKG.Nice tone and overall contrast with good depth in the colors .
Only nit is the ghosting but nothing you could about , only next time push the Dx further with the ISO it can stand it.
