Hi Ian, love the light in this, great eye, and the feather detail shows up very well and tack sharp. Good DOF on the bird and perch, and I do like the BG with the hint of the OOF flowers.

Perfect head turn, nice perch, and a good BG. Well composed. I'm wondering if the saturation needs to be punched up a bit?

Beautiful image, Ian. The light and detail are wonderful. Like the perch and what looks to be more of the same plant in very nice BG. New bird for me as well.

Thanks for your positive feedback Daniel. In RAW processing with DPP I adjusted the saturation +1 which I feel is spot on for this species. Regards, Ian

Superb shot with excellent details, Ian! Love the pose, feather details and eye contact. I would boost the saturation a bit as Daniel suggested.

Lovely image Ian - great pose and perch (looks like flowering saltbush?). I'd personally up the yellows a tad, but it's still very nice!

Well done, Ian. Love your perch and background which go so well with the bird. Bird is nice and sharp with superb eye contact. I haven't seen this one before so can't comment on colors. The overall image looks fine on my monitor.

great looking frame of this cool looking bird. Killer detail and the techs are perfect. Color and contrast look good to me even though I have never seen one of these before. Nice mottled BG too. Well done
