This adult male Red-breasted Flycatcher (Ficedula parva) was photographed on the small island of Utklippan in the Baltic Sea (most southeastern part of Sweden). It roosted from morning to late evning in a very small area on the island and was easy to approach, wich is quite uncommon behavior for this speices. I guess it was tired and hungry after a nightlong flight over the sea.

    Nikon D200 + 70-200/2.8 VR @ 200mm with 2x TC on tripod. F5.6, 1/160, ISO 200, EV -0,3

    Any comments are appreciated.

    Thanks for watching.

I like the soft light, details and eye contact. The background could be cleaner but there is nothing you could have done about it. Keep them coming!

Hi Daniel I like this image a lot !!!

As presented I would try moving the bird to one of the corners of the frame, possible lower right. Small birds in frame generally look better in corners. Like the detail and exposure very much !!! Excellent feel to the image !!! Its interesting that you don't need to check with camera it was taking with if you look at that blue sky color !!! has Nikon written all over !!!
