All of nature is awaiting the arrival of the first summer rains on this side of the globe and even our usually-paradise-green Marievale Bird Sanctuary lacks any sign of green. The variety of birds to choose from is limited to a few. This is one of a few shots I managed to come away with on Saturday.

Common adjustments in LR and cropped for composition. A round of USM in PS. All C & C's welcome.

Hi Tobie, these guys never disappoint when it comes to getting a good shot, and you certainly managed it here as you have exposed the chat nicely. Good angled pose, and pops very well against the clean BG.

Cool pose and very good head angle. Not the typical BG I would get here so it is a nice touch. Good contrast between the bird and the BG. TFS

I like the bird, the perch, and the background... nice image Toby. I'll trade you some of our green in Florida for some of your birds and animals there. Thank you for sharing.

Nice bird, perch, EXP, BKGR and a perfect head angle. Are the white specks on the cap feathers or something extraneous?

Thanks for looking & commenting everyone!

Arthur I won't bet my life on it but I believe they're feathers.

Joseph, if only possible - it would have been a deal!
