I used NIK SEP, CEP> Polarization, and Glamour Glow. Some areas of the bg were a bit lighter so I painted them over with black.

This looks good form where I normally sit, about three feet from the monitor. I left the room briefly with the image still on the screen and saw it from a greater distance when I returned. Whether it's typical of chiaroscuro, or not, I don't know, but it looks even better from a greater distance. Your lighting in this and in your first examples is beautiful. It gives a wonderful sense of both shape and texture.
Nice one Jackie, I like how the flower seems to be emerging from the darkness.

This really glows, Jackie. I love the lighting, and the fine details of the flower.
This image has a three dimensional quality; I can see the roundness of the flower. I like seeing the little hairs on the upper part in the darkness, and the curving away of the upper parts of the flower. I would prefer to see the entire flower, and not have it cut off. I think you definitely have the feel for chiaroscuro.
Thanks for the comments. Anita, I took many shots and have some with the full flower which I may post, I appreciate your critique.
