One more Bee-eater, this time from the back. They are IMO one of the most beautiful birds of Europe.
Cropped from horizontal to vertical composition.

    Tom:

They are beautiful indeed, and well captured here. Nice look back pose, prey, soft background, well scaled perch on diagonal, all good.

    Good call on the cropping.

    Cheers

Great image, Tom. I will agree with you, how strikingly beautiful this bird is. IQ is all there and then some.

The striking colours of the plumage and the nice detail work well against that nice soft background.

    Lovely image - well executed.

Fantastic colours, details, and a very good well-balanced composition. The back view really shows this individual well. Prey item is of course a wonderful bonus. Head angle is OK, but having it a few degrees more towards us would have taken this even higher.

Hi Tom, great view here, and once again, you have brought out the colours and exposure so well. His catch a bonus - when has any bee-eater not got something in their beaks.
