    Default Water Bokkies

Something for Saturday night, and I have left my lions to rest for a while...This image was taken at Shingwedzi in the Kruger National Park. Shot from the hide with no option for a better POV. The vegetation on the LHS a bit bothersome but I decided to leave it in. Cropped from all sides for a more pano view.

Converter? I do have one, but I never use it

Hi Gabriela. I love the head angles, all looking at you! And i like the light as well, nothing you could do about the POV but sometimes you take what you get & enjoy photography rather than worrying too much! Well done.

Hi Gabriela - this is one of the nicest waterbuck images I've seen. It's great that they cooperated and all looked in your direction. I love that the 3 on the right posed in size order. Light and exp handled well.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Hi Gabriela. Very nice details, color balance and head angles. I agree with you re the vegetarian in LHC, but not much you could do.

Thank you so much for your comments, it took some effort for me to get away from the lions and I admit I have quite a few images of other species in my folders waiting to be processed. Glad you enjoyed this, and I thank you Rachel for your help, a few tweaks and it looks a lot better. The waterbuck was indeed cooperative and posed just as I hoped they would, save for that bent ear of the fellow on the RHS (I so wanted to go and pull it up straight)

Wishing you a great week ahead,
    Gabriela Plesea

Nice one, as already commented Gabriela! Now next time please post a clip of what face you've pulled to make them all look at you - we need that for future use!

Hi Gabriela, I like the fact your organised them in a staggered manner, working right to left. The whole group works nicely. It's a shame you could not get lower, but appreciate working from a hide is not always ideal. Pano crop works well, perhaps a bit off the RHS, just a thought?

    Hi Gabriela,

like the organ pipes stack or however that is called in English. Details are great and I do not mind the greens on the LHS. A lower position would be good, but we take what we get

    Have a great evening

    Ciao

Thank you so much for all comments and suggestions

I did have the option of going under the hide but then the grass would have covered the legs of the waterbuck...

Steve, I did try to take off from the LHS more during processing and then changed my mind. That grass was undesirable but I had to consider it when cropping, it kind of looks "cut off" when I chop that bit on the left. No sure whether any one worries about these things though, I just felt I had to include the whole tuft On second thought, I guess you're right. You're always right

Hope you all have a great week

I think Gabriela I said RHS, which may address your fears on the grass?

Hope your evening is a good one, I am smiling from ear to ear. And especially the right ear...

Hi Gabriela nice line up of water buck
I am fine with the higher POV .Nice colors and tones . For me no need of cutting off the RHS .
I specially like the shadow on the RHS WB .
A great image all around, and good to see that you post something else other than lions .Brings a bit of variety into here,

See you very very soon , will start packing the night before my flight is going , if i forget important stuff like panties i hope i will get some down there ........

    Cheers and TFS andreas

As long as you do not forget your Canon equipment, Andreas! Because if you do, you'll have to switch to Nikon

Glad you liked this, I am busy looking for anything other than lions...

Thank you kindly for looking and for comments,

Lekker slaap, your house is ready here, air conditioning tried and tested, geyser on, mosquito repellent working, frogs in the pond making a helluva noise but you'll learn to love it eventually...

Too bad you couldn't get lower.Love the group on the right side.
I personally would go for tight crop of three and shot at eye level.

    Andrew
