Lanner Falcon getting up to speed!
Lanner Falcon - Falcon biarmicus
It has taken a while for me to process this one as I needed to add some canvas to the right. Quite chuffed with how it has turned out.
He was busy picking up some speed while departing the waterhole. Such an awesome bird!
Look forward to your thoughts?

Cleaned up the bg a bit with the clone and blur tool, added canvas to right and sharpened for web.

Very nice pose of this great bird. I like the BG colors matching the bird and the claws clearly visible. I am not an expert on adding canvas but I can see that there is room for improvement there. I can see the original line and some traces in the part you've added. But I would be very happy if it was mine. TFS

Hi richard great shot with loads of detail very nicely processed . Nice tones and colors , it just looks a bit tight in the frame , just my 2 cents.

Nice and sharp. I like the close in composition, especially when viewed at small sizes. You can see much more detail that way. I agree with Tom that the additional background could be a little more seamless. Specifically there are three spots where you can see a slight vertical line delineating the transition. It should be an easy fix though, and you have very nice image.

That's about as sharp as a head can be on a shot like this. Good look at the feet, talons and tail. The techs look right on the money and the BG color loos great too.
Blend out the obvious seem and this will be one of your best Lanner frames.

Hi Rich, sharp where it counts, and love the view of the feet and curled talons. Killer smooth BG too. I feel you could add a touch more NR to the BG. When adding canvas, you can always check if the addition is smooth, and if not, blending in shouldnt really be a big issue.

Pretty neat pose for sure. Nice and sharp on the face and talons, and I like the warmth of the BG. I agree about the BG tweaks suggested.
