Pretty cool with all the foam concentrated at the feet. I like the nice light too. Good catch.
That splashing wave certainly does add a lot of interest! Any bigger and it would be too much, but it is just right as is. The OC does seem to have a bit of a surprised look to it - perhaps the water was a bit cold. Good techs and processing, and the warm light and blue water compliment each other nicely.
Very nice to see the water touching this lovely bird in such wonderful light!
Different and gorgeous. Technically great, and the soft blues and browns are wonderful together!
Beautiful, light filled with wonder. Love the frothy surf and it splashing up around the feet. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Grace , cool splash in combo with very nice colors . Nice job . I think you could loose some 10 % of the top . Plus i think a fraction more sharpness in the plumage and splash would not hurt the image .
Very nice all around , TFS Andreas
Cool image Grace. Great light, wonderful foamy splash.
Love that evening light Grace. That's the stuff great looking frames are made of, and this one looks great. The exposure is perfect as you got nice detail in both the darks and lights.
The frothy splash around the legs looks cool too. I might be tempted to crop out the wave below? Very nice

Hi Grace, sweeeeeeet light, and you nailed the exposure on the OC. The splash puts this up a few notches, and David's suggestion of cropping away the small wave in the FG would work.
I like the light, exposure, froth surrounding the feet and composition. Excellent image Grace.
Thank you to everyone for looking and for commenting. The reason that I posted this image was to get some feed back on the wave at the bottom which David and Stuart addressed. I would like to eliminate it, but felt that by doing so, the bird was too low in the frame. Kind of tricky and I'm still not 100% sure about what to do with it.
If it were mine (and I wish it was!) I'd add a little canvas to the bottom and try content-aware fill, and crop a little from the top. But when I do a "real" image, nobody believes me, so there is a price to pay.
