    Default Seimplamated Plover with breakfast

A few weeks ago I spent sometime at Bellevue Beach mussel bed for some shorebird action. I got great views at some Semiplamated plovers and this was one of my fav shots.

    A lovely image Brad.
You have a great low POV, and lovely 2 toned BG and the FG is quite clean.
The pop of green adds a nice bit of needed color and the worm is interesting to view.
I think your whites around the neck are hot- it could be due to downsizing and compression- so I would work on that area. The rest of the plumage looks fine.
I don't know how you feel about cloning but if this was mine I would evict the two specular highlights on the ground on the LHS of the frame and would clone out the 2 highlights on the upper mandible.
Still a lovely image as is,
    Gail

I like the low angle, DOF, sharpness, details, catch, composition and sweet BG. Very well done!

Super low angle work. The prey? item in the bill adds alot to the success of the image. DOF is perfect. Lighting is great. I think selectively darkening the bird is worth exploring...just to fine tune....just the plumage and the legs...not the bill or eye.
