    Default Glossy Ibis

My own eval: Love the BG, but wish I could've gotten the feet in front of (or on top of) the mud pile. Head angle and pose are good I think. Exposure is good according to histogram. The oof mud foreground takes away from what probably would've been a really nice image I think. Opinions?

P.S. - You don't want to know how nasty this stuff was to lay in for this pov

    Hey Bob,

I don't mind the feet being cut off. The BG is fantastic and so is the light. One of your best for sure!

Nasty? Trust me... I can imagine... can you do me a favor and repost the image at 800px wide? Thanks!

Should be small enough now. Feeding off of SmugMug, so can't really get an "exact" size unless I process it at that and then post the "original" size. It's 684 wide now.

Awesome shot of a beautiful bird. I second Blake on this, who taught me the ways of the muck - I can imagine! ;)
The background is gorgeous and I like that you caught the bird mid-step. I feel you could probably get more details and contrast on the bird and the eye could use a hint of sharpening. Outstanding shot regardless.

A very nice image, Bob. I think your own evaluation was right on the money. The image would be stronger, IMO, if the feet were visible.

I like this a lot! I agree with your own thoughts, the only thing that would have improved it for me were the feet being more visible.

I agree about the foreground but it's still a keeper. Nice light

Beautifully captured Bob with a killer BG and mating colors. The lighting and detail is awesome and I love that you were able to capture the irredescence in this image as well as a lovely composition. Like it a lot.
