Hi Andreas, looks good all round. Nice light and I also like both the crop & overall position within frame, although perhaps a sliver off the top? If you have opened the eyes then revert back, if not I might just darken a fraction. Auto ISO, interesting.

Hi Andreas - I really like the simplicity of this portrait with the lone seal, the eye contact and the wave behind. You handled the harsh light well. There's some blue coming in, particularly on the top of the head, but I presume you wanted it that way.

    Rachel

Thanks Steve and Rachel for your comments.
Steve - you got me on the eyes , after your comment i thought i went slightly to light in them. Have been dark blobs even the frame was slightly overexposed , but light was harsh. Will leave the crop as is , thanks.
Rachel - the blues yes they stay , already massively reduced. And i told you before , i watched the seals for their coloration in different light situations , and they does look in fact blue when coming out of the water and get hit by the sun and reflection from the blue sky.

Hi Andreas -- Love the eye contact, colors, and breaking surf behind the subject to add context. You handled the harsh light well. I am fine with the crop. But my eye keeps getting drawn to the darkish shadows in the neck, which makes it look like two pieces stuck together (head, body) instead of one. So, I wonder what it would look like if you lifted those shadows a touch more?

Thanks Mark , agree with you about the shadow around the neck , in fact it comes from a injury i.e. fishing net or similar . Some of the youngsters are having this kind of problem. I could have lightened it , but i thought no leave it as is .

    Thanks again Andreas
