One more of the Momotidae family.
A smaller version of the rufous motmot, this one also sits and wait for long periods of time while waiting for a prey that could fly by.

Beautiful detail, colours & BG, JC! I would have taken away just a tad of space on the left to place the bird off-centre and to exclude the short branch. But that's perhaps just me - beautiful, regardless!

Beautiful bird Juan Carlos, I assume the light was tough as you have used f4 and a high iso. (More light and a higher f stop would obviously have helped but forest birding does not often allow this). Given the conditions this is a beautiful, simple image of a stunning bird. I like the light in his eye as he looks up. TFS

    Juan Carlos:

A lovely fellow. I had the same first reaction as Tobie about moving him to the left a bit.

    Excellent,, subtle flash work.

    Cheers

Very nice! Love the bird and the head tilt.
    Flash use is excellent.
I agree with moving the bird a bit to the left, thus evicting the little branch and giving the mot mot more room to lokk into,

It's a very nice shot of this beautiful bird. I agree with placing the bird of centre.

    Cheers, Tom
