Hard to keep up as the bird is moving when you are HHing flat on your belly. Cropped to @ 80% and had to add canvas on top a bit. Work with selective color layer a bit as suggested on my previous post.

No audio. It knew I was there and came to check me out right away this time

    7D, 500mm, f/9, 1/2000, ISO 800, spot, HH, manual

    comments welcome!

Colors are wonderful in this one, for me! Beautiful bird and exposure, great detail, love the soft water and BG!

Enrique, the bird and water are wonderful. I love the colors, the detail, and the open beak puts it over the top. Since the reflection is marginal, I'd be tempted to crop about half of it off, and add just a small amount to top and left. As to rotation, based on the reflected neck and catchlight, I think it needs only the tiniest bit of CW. Nicely done.

This is so nice. Agree that the reflection is not strong enough to warrant the space. I'd prefer to see the space above with the beautiful colors. Water looks level to me.

I love the water colour, open beak, sharpness, BG and details. I agree with taking some off the bottom. Very well done.
