What's up with the 800mm?

I sold my 600mm, and I seriously miss having big glass to use.

Looking forward to seeing the results from one, should be awesome! Hope you get it soon. I know I was looking out the window waiting for the UPS ttruck with my 600VR the day it was scheduled for delivery. It was worth the wait, hang in there!!!

Gonna order one next month. Hoping to see some comments and reviews first. Really itching for this, though....Also, I am hoping for a price at or below $11,000 - there was one legit vendor who had preorders at $10700 until recently.

I would like to see how the results are with the 800 f5.6 IS. I have used my Canon 400f2.8 IS with 2x II TC and have got nice results. 800 at F4 would have been awesome.

I'm sure its going to be difficult to obtain even at those prices !!! With the olympics coming up lots are committed !!!!
