The perch is a fallen old tree and the background is the reeds along the shore.
    Thanks for looking.

Amazing details you have captured here, Karl, and I love the BG and how well it complements your bird. I wish for a tad less on the bottom and more on top.

Great detail is right Karl. You must have been able to get pretty close to this little bird. I like the perch and the comp too. It's head looks to large for the body. Well done

I like the details and colours. Nice perch too that is fitting for this species. The eye looks great in the light. I get the feeling there was some masking around the bird for some BG work, if not, then there are a few spots along its contour that could use some touch ups.

    Great detail on the bird.
I find the image a bit tight in the frame for my personal taste.
Nice light and I like the BG very much.

A bit tight in the frame but a very nice image. Detail and colors are great. There are some stripes in the BG but you can fix that I think.

    Cheers, Tom

    Nice little bird Karl!
This one is quite handsome. Like the light and eye contact. I wish you would keep the 2:3 ratio and more room all aroud the bird as it looks a tad tight in the frame. TFS

I like the sharpness, details, exposure and BG. A little tight in the frame but it's a fine image Karl!
