Preening poses are very often tough to portray artistically. This one looks good, but I feel a lower angle would have put this a notch higher. I also find the image a tad dark overall - at minimum opening up the midtones would help here. Good sharpness, head angled nicely, and the comp well balanced (although having pointed your lens 1/2" more to the left would not have hurt).

Hi William , neat preening pose and nice clean image .Too much space on RHS and not enough on LHS , but that is just personal feeling. Agree being a bit dark overall .

RP just added Auto levels (monochromatic ) ,blend mode set to luminosity
