Ron - Exactly.! What worries me is we think of a;iens as being wierd with several eyes and two heads etc. Why sould Mosquito larvae have two eyes a mouth, a nose and ears !???
Wierd !

A nice series of shots showing different angles and all with good sharpness. I'm wondering where the colors are coming from - the lighting? -film colors changing over time?
Hi
Steve
No idea to be honest- probably they were that colour ! I forgot to mention but apart from the colour its a heck of a magnification- would hate to think what it is !The pic was put on for a bit of fun more than anything- but you know how it is.

Wow. This is pretty darned neat. Is it one capture or four images combined? The two on the right crack me up.

While I love it I think that it could use more room all around.
Please confirm that the individual larvae are pretty much as they came out of camera.

Hi Arthur
Yes they are as they were- there were dozens more too. The colours may be slightly different in some as I experimanted a bit with lighting. There is no manipulating of the features etc at all. If you catch some and look at them with a macro the features are amazing.
John
Thanks John. Amazing is the right word. I'd love to see a wider version of the original post :)
