I captured this image in May 2012 at Black Point Wildlife Drive in Merritt Island NWR, Merritt Island, Florida. Since capturing the image I have gone back to it several times re-editing and tweaking, sometimes starting from scratch, trying to get the right feeling in the image. Today I worked on it again. I figure the viewers will either love it or hate it... thus the title. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Count me as being one of the ones who love it.

The minimal image with the space; the trace on the water and the very pretty little Stilt at full stride. Great concept and execution.

    Thanks for sharing, Gerald

I love simple but graphically strong and bold images like this. You did very well...only thing that could have been better is the head angle which is angled slightly away. Super nice though...I'm glad you revisited it and shared it with us!

Love the composition, Joseph. The rippled reflection and the wake against the smooth white surface is outstanding. Wonderful capture in mid stride.

Love it. Just wish for a bit of a better head angle. Love the black and white and would be tempted to bump up the saturation in the pink legs a bit just to add that "pop" of color,

Love it as well. Very neat and refreshing image. I love that despite all the white you can still see the water trail across the image.

Thank you everyone for viewing and commenting. You confirm what I thought when I had finished working on this image yesterday... it was finally where I wanted it to be. Thank you all once again.

I'm late tot he party, but I love it too -- with a caveat. My first reaction was that it was a bit tight on the left, but I think that's because there is a lot of negative space on top. If I scroll the screen to crop about half the empty space on top, it feels more balanced. With the bird walking out of the frame, putting it in the LL point of thirds, and with a strong shadow even lower in the frame, feels like too much, to me. But if it's closer to centered vertically, it feels less unbalanced.
