    Jim:

Great eye, sharp, well exposed, neat perch, like the small curl by foot.

Crop works for his pose. Just enough texture in the bg to be effective for me.
    Nicely done.

    Cheers

I have been to Costa Rica too Jim so I have seen these guys What surprised me was that this was the national bird, you would think that they would have chosen one of the more colorful birds. They have enough One guy told me that they had chosen this one because he can sing so beautiful. And that's true.

I like the setup with the nice clean BG and perch. The pose is good too. TFS

Hi Jim, great inquisitive pose, and lovely feather detail. I do like the smooth BG too. That curly piece of foliage keeps drawing my eye, but its unique and adds to the image. Maybe a touch off the top.

Jim you have made what is a fairly drab looking bird into a fine looking image, lovely feather detail and a nice clean BG.

    Cheers Keith.

Nice eye contact, from this, IMO attractive bird. Keith makes a good point too, and you did well showing the finer feather, and eye details. Like your setup also.

Don't know about a "clean" background but there's just enough detail in there for me. Lovely shot of a drab bird.
    Good one.

Hi Jim , very nice clean image with great colors and tones . Superb processed , i would just give the mid tones a slight boost for more tonal depth.
