found this one going through some old files this week. this is the loxahatchee great horned owlet from last year. i think affectionately known as Owen.

D50, Sigma 50-500 at 500mm, f/6.3, 1/160s, -1.3EV, ISO 200, flash fill at -1.3EV with bb.

I don't mind the branch or habitat, but the sky looks unnatural.

Hmmm, the owl is pretty mesmerizing with it's stare but I think the post processing is a too much. The blues are too heavy, even showing up on the owl's plumage and the eyes have a funny ridged look in them (especially around the irises). The fact the bird is holding on to that branch makes it OK in my books ;-)
