Another image from Tarangire. I wanted to use the tall tree as a frame for this image, so shot vertical. I think a challenging image to process since the elie was in the shade of the tree with the bright sky in the BG. Just tried to push how far I could go with my PP.

Hi Loi - I too like the way the tree frames the ele. It would take it up a notch for me if the tree on the right was to the right rather than coming out of the ele's rump. I don't know if it was possible in the field to move to the right and have both trees framing the ele. Nice details, colors and tones.

    Hi Loi,

I like this elle, the details are great, maybe a tad to much! Rachel gives you already some great suggestion with the tree in BG!

    Have a great day

    Ciao

Hi Loi , nice handling of the light situation . Agree with Anette re detail , a fraction too much.It would have been nice to have the Ellie framed by the two trees , but think it was not possible with the ellie in the position as he was ......to get the effect.
Like the tones and colors in the whole frame.

I just give you advice to overthink your sharpening/detail workflow , i am being picky now , but i just want to help you with this , feel free to think about it or leave it as is .

    Cheers Andreas

    Hi Loi

I thought to take some on top..

Agree with the slightly over-shapened ellie on the body.

Like the HA and the inclusion of the animal behind.
(Isn't the SS to low for HH?)
    Regards

    Andre.

I like it but would have preferred to have a little more space in the left of the frame. The second bull just looked a little too jammed in there.

Nice tones and handling of the light/contrast here Loi.
I agree the RH tree needed to be a little to the right as viewed (saying that I just came from Mana Pools and have many trees-behind-elephant shots, but I think it's more pronounced when there are only one or 2 trees in the scene as opposed to a forest area), and I would have liked the 2nd bull not to be there. I also agree that the ele looks a tad oversharpened.
    Cheers!
