Watched this Hare sitting a long way from me for ages at a distance thinking it would never come to me, then someone came along on a bike ,the Hare got up and ran down the road and came within a few yards of me,some time luck is with you.

Thanks for looking and any critique most welcome.

The light, clarity and detail are exquisite here - quite like the dynamic pose too Keith.
Were you standing, or sitting in a vehicle/blind? A lower angle would have taken this to another level IMHO

Hi Keith - Great coming at you pose with nice detail and sharpness. Love those big eyes. If it were mine I would go to a more traditional 2x3 ratio cropping more from the lhs than the rhs, moving the hare off center and reducing the amount of road. I would also reduce the blues and then darken the bg slightly. It just gives the hare a bit more separation and pop. Overall, your patience paid off.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Thanks Morkel and Rachel,Morkel I was sitting in my car ,the next time I visit this site I can place my hide better to get a lower angle if I can get the Hare to play ball, thanks for the tips Rachel I will try them.

    Cheers Keith.

Lovely Keith. Personally I would crop in from the right a bit but that is just me maybe ;)

Hi Keith works good , your patience really paid off . I am with Rachel regarding crop . Personally i would go for slightly lower sat and traduce the blues even more , i am one those who prefer less blueness in the images .Others keep them in , both are right .

    Hi Keith

Valid points about POV and crop. Agree with Andreas about blues.

SS and DOF worked well, can still do a lot with one..

    Andre.

Techs aside (since I am anyway too late with my comments and all has been said above) I love this hare to bits and find him really adorable, feet in the air and all!

Nature ever so often defies me, and I spontaneously feel good when viewing an image like this. Very effective and I dare suggest a Black and White version with lost of contrast.

Well done Keith, I love your work!

    Warmest regards,

Hi Keith, I like the difference in the environment, grass to road, but agree a more traditional crop would be better. Difficult to get a lower position, so I think you did well as I assume the wind was blowing in the right direction, LOL. Classic pose, running towards you, with nice sharpness. Slight tweak in the saturation balance as described above will help.
